Fees and Policies
Psychotherapy is an investment in your well-being and happiness. It’s an uncomfortable but natural part of the human condition to experience periods of pain, confusion, and distress. Every human being will endure personal difficulties, and at times we all need support and company to work through them. Choosing to do that is an indicator of your strength. Although the expense of therapy is an important consideration, you are making an investment in both your immediate functioning and your long term health. Most people find that the skills they learn in therapy continue to be useful throughout their lives.
My fees are $225 for an initial visit and $175 for regular, ongoing appointments. We will structure our time together to fit your concerns and your budget.
Payment is expected at the time of each session. I take payment by credit or debit card, and keep your card encrypted on file to be billed each time we meet. If you need to update of change your payment method, just let me know. If you must cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. Since I save your appointment time for you and no one else, you will need to pay for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
Because a good therapist / client match is essential to the healing process, we will use your initial visit in part to become acquainted and for us both to be sure that the work I do is a good fit for your needs. We schedule follow-up appointments only if you are feeling comfortable, and when I’m confident that I can be of help to you. If for any reason it doesn’t feel like the right fit to you, I am happy to help with other referrals. Your comfort is important to me.
